Now that's a great and rare find . Do you stabilize your bone artifacts ?

i don't know exactly what you mean?
do you coat them with something?
i just don't think i could put anything on that piece
i remember looking at bone artifacts at the museum in the late 1950's here and those artifacts look just the same today

Fantastic find Steve!!! Is it complete? Does it just have a short handle? One of the most awesome artifacts I have ever seen on any board. That deserves the Banner for sure.

yep it is complete

on the back where the handle normally is it is very polished.....
.....so if ever did have a handle it must have been used for at least a hundred years to get the kind of high polish it has

I use DR Gomers recipe . It seals the artifact to preserve it and will not discolor .
