this is most of the better pieces from about the last 8 or 9 days

Looks like a little pressure flaking tool. Isn't there some use wear showing on the tip?

yep there is wear on the tip that would correspond to pressure flaking
that thought had crossed my mind too.....at 1rst glance i thought arrow point but the bone arrow points i have are showing a hole in the bottom side

It's possible that this piece was discarded. They may have wanted the thicker part of the antler for bead making since the center of the horn is much easier to drill through.

I like those shell beads, those are some cool finds! :thumbsup:

it was not discarded for sure as it has a ton of use polish to it and much polish on the cut end
