I second that maybe at most a piece of expedient flake knife but keep lookin in that spot there's bound to b something else ;)

I agree it is a tool with a Graver tip. Might be broken on the ends if so it might of been larger.

For a graver, are these common in one era vs another?
Under an eye loop, there is evidence of work and wear to form the edge. While I am no expert, a graver is what I hypothesized as well.
Thoughts on age?

Most likely in all time periods they were used as a tool in some way or another.

I find them in Woodland sites mostly but yeah all periods had them.
