The closest I have figured out is a Snaketown variety which is Hohokam. It has traits of a Toyah, its definitely Desert Traditions.
Found on a private ranch in New Mexico that has a Jornada Mogollon site on it. Seems to be a true ceremonial piece. I have never seen one quite like this.

Helluva arrow point! That's a Guadalupe point, a variant of the Livermore. If complete, it would have been one of the best of its type that I've seen. They were named for the Guadalupe mountains in New Mexico.

Even missing a little of the base it is as Neaderthal said one heck of a nice find. Well done maybe the site has more from its maker. Happy New Year Chong.

I'd mess my pants if I saw that on the ground.

That's a mean looking little dude. Is the base damaged a little? Not that it matters much, it's still a great find!!

Except for those wicked side notches, your find reminds me of the Hernandos from down this way. Also, reminds me of the Cahokia points. That little bit of damage don't mean squat to me. Centerpiece all day long. Like Monsterrack's Angostura (or whatever it was), yours should be on the banner, too. Sadly, this section doesn't get the volume to generate the votes, I guess. Banner all day in my book though!
