What's your opinion ?

Picked this up this morning at a hunting and fishing flea market. The guy only had 4 points and this one was the only one without some kind of damage. He didn't know much about them. He had got them from someone else years back. Bottom is very ground. Still seems to have dirt stain in the flake scars. Nice bevel to it. Do you think I should send it off for a COA?

You either have one of the finest and most exotic e-notch Thebes ever found that was heavily used by the bevel but not hafted as the e's are too delicate and the only one made from Burlington, or you have a reproduction.

I doubt the delicate work in the notches would have held up so well having been through that mush re-sharpening, which in part is what I think Joshua may have been eluding to.

There are lots of Thebes from Burlington, but the classic e-notch is an Ohio form (and some areas nearby) almost always made from materials from Ohio.

It does not cost that much, take a gamble and ease your mind. There is something about the tips being that fine of the e-notch, like the others have said, but who knows.

It's pretty, but it's not old. One of the most highly faked early Archaic types.
