Found a couple things in the Great Basin today - Great weather

the bottom one looks like a bifurcated archaic piece. The top one might be a preform or a scraper. Looks a little over worked to be just a scraper though. 1.jpg

Nice finds the top one if it has been thinned down on the end was probably a hafted knife

It's really thin

Some knifes are called "Backed Knifes" They were hafted on 1 side and then used for a skinner type of tool not hafted like a point on a arrow or spear. Yours might be a backed knife. Usually one side will be sharper than the other if it is.
