Got out today and the water is going down offering brand new treasures here's a few...mjm IMG_20150509_212428_421.jpg ....There's a huge maul an adze a broken Celt a couple points a couple brokes and an awesome red sandstone whetstone.It was a great day....mjm

I'm really curious,,,

How much does the maul and the adze weigh?

Not combined,, each.

Those are HUGE tools and the man wielding them must have been equally huge.

Can you give a rough location please?

Just to quell my curiosity.

How much does that Maul weigh? Biggest I have ever seen I do believe. I know you know what your finds are but could it be a canoe weight?

I sent pics of this to Athur Spiess he is a Maine archeologist he says its a maul/hammer that he has seen a couple of.He says they are usually around five lbs...mjm
