Found about 150 ft. from a partially excavated mound and known village site. Area is littered with pottery fragments and I've also found numerous triangular points. It looks similiar to a discoidal, but is drilled. The first three pics is of the piece and the remainder are of the discoidal. Please help me identify.

Thanks!

Top pic may be a fire starter rock (held in his left hand here):
  • a fire starter rock- meaning it held the stick that was spun back and forth in the dry leaves mixture (to cause friction and eventually fire)
Sometimes called a nutmeg stone:

Nice finds! My guess is that they're both Discoidals .
The first one appears to be unfinished, more so on one side than the other.
I'm not sure whether or not it has been determined if
"holed" game stones are due to a different method for cupping out the two faces of the stone, but if that's a theory, and if that is an unfinished discoidal, it might be an excellent example for the arguement.
Here's a pic. of a holed game stone ( they are less common than solid game stones): ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1432184509.697746.jpg

If this is where I think it's from, (dog pound) then it is definitely an unfinished Discoidal. Just a heads up though. Don't get caught in there. The Pound will call the owner if they see you.
