A Little Info On Site's

Had a friend call me about a site and thought I would take a look. This is a pit that is in between to mounds on a plaza. They found sign of people being there has deep has 14 ft, there main diet was frog, snake , fish , turtle and bird's. They found some real neat stuff, but I can't post it right now. The state put up 1/4 of the funds for this 3 week dig and they took their own money for the rest and to me that shows dedication and guys this was dug by women. A little dig #1.jpg A Little Dig #2.jpg So don't ever think you have found all the artifacts on a site.

I would think 14 ft deep would have to be real old. Here and of course it depends on the weather and trees but for the most part 1 inch of top soil equals 100 years.
