Even though this appears to be made from shell, due to the shape I just have to run it by y'all, lol! Was shell ever used for material to make points? Found north of Houston near a creek. The back seems to be the inside of the shell.

The creek it was near was all mud and was either to high for gravel bars to show or didn't have any gravel bars that I could find. So I ended up hunting all the sections of washed out/eroded trail and gulleys I found. There appeared to be some material hauled in to build up some of the trail sections of that helps with context. Thx!
