Not sure if it's an artifact or not

Posted this on what is it already but no answers there i found this searching a irrigation ditch in central California that always washes in old things I was going to ignore this item i at first thought it was a piece of wood then after picking it up it was heavy and didn't look natural at all you can see where it's worn from being in water but besides being worn the shape doesn't seem natural and it sounds and feels like bone so I'm wondering if it's some type of native tool maybe I could be completely wrong but better safe then sorry I love to preserve history. But let me know what you guys think and I appreciate any feedback very much

Agreed... Better safe than sorry. But this time it isn't an artifact. I would have checked it out too...
