Tried something new today

I have not been finding much lately. I have been trying a lot of new creeks and just has not been producing. Today I decided to do some snorkeling. I was only out for about two hours and found 1 broke. It would have been nice if complete. I have to say it's an awesome experience being underwater and finding one. It was a great day out, the water was clear and just such a cool perspective.

that is one strange point, it looks all wrong...is it extremely eroded and polished by wave action?

I took the pic after a scrubbing it with a toothbrush. Not eroded just tip broke off. I think the wetness makes it looked polished. I will post a new pic.

After looking again I guess has been pretty worn down.

quartzite makes a lot of sense...that stuff never really looks knappped anyway.

The river... It was so much fun! It was such a rush seeing this one wedged in a rock.

Its clearly a water worn point from the rushing water and sand mix it will leave the point looking just like that. Just think what a sand blaster does to metal and wood. Quartz varieties in the water will do the same thing and some flint depending on the current. We cant dive here either and all rivers are off limits in Georgia. Nice save
