Well finally made it to the new property and found this in the first 5 mins but from then on it was just tons of brokes and lots of uglies but it is what it is. The property is in a mountainous section 25 miles away but still a nice quiet place and I havent even walked a 1/4 of the property yet. The bit of the Celt has damage on it and I have no idea on the material due to the stain but it is very heavy. At least it has 1 nice side for a display case. Here is some of the quartz examples. I had to leave some behind couldnt carry all of the brokes not enough pockets. HH, rock

Way to go rock! I always knew it was just a matter of time for good things to happen for you. You have worked and hunted hard and are now reaping the rewards.

Thanks it was actually found in a spring fed creek. No river hunting here is allowed. I hope to get back out there again in the next couple of weeks. Im sure there are bear and cougars out there so I didnt want to walk to far out of sight without my pea shooter. Next time I will go further. I didnt want to be carrying while meeting with the property owners. Never want to scare the owners. After meeting them I then asked if it was okay to bring a bit of protection the next time I go and the answer was yes. Thanks

Yes it takes a long time to get ground with permission. Have to ask many people before you get a yes.

Thanks jamey. I went to a artifact show Saturday looking for a nice case 3-4 inches thick. They are a hard item to find. Guess I will have to order 1 off the net if I cant get one soon.

Thanks it was something I didnt expect to find I was looking for a nice point. They say rain again soon but Im going anyway. I like places out in the middle of no where to relax listening to the trickle of the water and the birds singing. I work in retail and its never quiet.

Update on this one I looked it up and its a Hopewell Celt made in the Middle Woodland period. Now I just have to find a nice point to confirm it. Thanks to everyone who responded to my find, rock
