I believe you're right about the root end. However, looks a bit too large to be human, IMO

It looks to be the end of a radius bone from something. It is not a tooth because there is no enamel showing and the enamel is the last thing to go and that takes a very long long time. Anyway if it was human I would not be showing it to no one, unless it was the local law. In all states if you find human remains you are to report them to the local law so they can decided if it is ancient or modern. Also it is against this sites rules to show human remains !!!!!!!!!!!!
