I got out for the first time this year and hit my Ft Ancient hill side site. Didn't find a lot but I did find 5 pieces and one nice Drill. All of the Points are missing the tips which is typical for this site. One of the Points shows a wicked impact fracture on the tip.

The first few are some in situ pictures of a few finds including a Brachiopod. You can also see some Pottery in the few two in situs. The pieces are everywhere on this site. I included a pic of the impact fracture and the Drill right after I picked it up. It felt good to finally get out and hunt for a while.

Nice hunt most of the tips are damaged on my finds to. If you figure in the creeks the points being heavy in the base I would guess they end up tip into the the current and a cobble will ding them every time. Have you ever found any whole pots in that field? I have a Fort Ancient field I hunt and there is pieces and debitage all over but have never even found a decent sized piece of pottery just small ones.

I've never found an entire Pot, but I know some were found there during the original excavations. There are Pottery Shards everywhere here though. From dime size to as big as a softball and some bigger. I only keep the Rim pieces, Handle pieces, and anything with any markings on it.
