My largest scraper

At 4 7/8 inches, its a big scraper, found 03/04/2001. Made from flint ridge flint.

I'll have to come back and look at the pictures on my computer vs phone, but it looks quite a bit like something called a core tab or a core top. Basically for groups that made bladelets off of a core, every once in a while you knock off the top of the core to get down to a fresh surface. Clovis and Hopewell made them in Ohio, but looks far too large for Hopewell.

I agree with Joshua, it does appear to be a core tab and the below image suggests modification for tool use.

Its not a core for bladelets, its a large scraper. 30 years of hunting the site has yielded no bladelets, but many, many scrapers. Many of which are similar in design. I have a large box of material likley used to produce large flakes for knapping points and scrapers, none like this tool.
