Found this in the wash of a local winter pool reservoir. Any idea what it may be? IMG_9480.JPG IMG_9477.JPG IMG_9481.JPG

How is this marked solved when no one has said what it may be? If the OP solved this then please enlightened us as to what it may be.

No idea why it says solved. I don't even know where to click that option.

I have marked it unsolved, it was marked solved when it was first posted by op, must have been done so by accident.

I would greatly appreciate your assistance. I just hope it doesn't turn out to be some piece of old industrial equipment. [emoji57]

It resembles the end of a Pick Bannerstone or a large Ceremonial Pick. I have a friend who found a Granite Ceremonial Pick here in Scioto county Ohio on the Rapp Farm.

The material just looks off on this piece. It looks like something ceramic.

Here is something simular. It is made of clay or light stone. I figured the sailors used it for knots. But I really have no clue. It has seen lots of use and is polished toward the ends. 14878809130921849256690.jpg

It looks a lot like the end of a scythe whetstone.
