The difference in yours and the others you posted are the sides. Look at the ones in the guys hand and you can see the sides have been ground flat.

Here are pictures of ones I have found and you can clearly see how the sides are ground smooth. I believe yours is just a naturally eroded stone.

The COA off of e-bay does not have a very good name on it in the world of collectors. But I also have found that type of stone on known sites. Not all game stones were made for the same game JMO.

i would imagine too that most of these stones started life as a natural disk shaped item....that's what i would do

Did you find it in a creek or a field? If I find a rock that looks out of place in a campsite where I find artifacts and its nice I sometimes will keep it especially crystals.

Boy, I could pick up a load of perfectly round disc like rocks like that in the Colorado plateau and they'd be finished as though they went through a rock tumbler. I can't believe that one on eBay was given a coa from some outfit. I'm sorry, but that one looks like just a rock to me. Maybe I'm tossing and skipping across the Colorado River genuine artifacts away :dontknow:

You could take a dump in a box, give it a COA and sell it on ebay.

You are correct in that assumption. That is exactly what they did. The same site I found the Discs above on also produces lots of naturally round rocks just like the one posted in the first post and the one with the BS COA. They did bring in the ones that were already rounded in shape and then they worked them into Discs. But that doesn't make them Discs or even artifacts. I usually pick them up and bring them home with me and throw them in around the fish pond.
