Probably woodland, 1000+ age ,ball bark figure, maby 5 to 8 dollars. but it is a nice find. good way to get a child hooked . all this is just a guesstamate.

Does the base feel smooth when you run your finger across it? That would be the end just above the notches. If it's ground then it could be a Archaic type. Great looking Point. Time to plow the yard now? lol

You would think something crafted by hand out of a rock 1000,s of years ago would be worth a pretty penny but it just isnt so. Id be happy to put it in a frame if I had found it and would cherish it for many years. They just arent laying every where it takes a while to learn what to look for and even longer to find 1. Keep it your grandfather found it and use it for the memories. Welcome to the site, rock
