Yes, difficult to find artifacts here. For the first 60 years of my life I never even heard of anyone finding any kind of artifact, until I happened to find a point while looking for beach agates. With constant rising waters since the last glacial ice age that shaped this area, most artifacts are probably under saltwater. I think that the the small areas I've found were probably trade areas, since the nicer obsidian and agate materials I find primarily come from central Oregon.

If I lived near the ocean, you can bet I would spend ALOT of time searching for anything on the beaches! I love water, definitely a fascination with water, and alot of my hobbies gravitate toward water, fly fishing of course, I do rockhounding around water all the time, and most my artifacts I find have been uncovered and exposed from water. By the way, I love the basalt points, many of my points are made of basalt as well!

The dark pieces look like they would have been tough stuff to knapp! Love the yellow agate! I'm curious about the Red Rose tea. If you get arrowhead surprises I'm going to have to take up drinking tea :)

Yep, Red Rose still inserts Wade Ceramics into their large size tea boxes - always with a theme to the different figurines. Current theme is "American Heritage".

View from my front yard at low tide: Besides the artifacts and beach agates, etc. I also catch salmon and searun cutthroat trout right off the beach, both with fly rod and gear.

oysters, clams, and Dungeness for me...all the while I can watch the grand kids play on the street. (old local access type)...i get a kick out of telling them when they are too bothersome to "go play on the street"...
