I was able to hunt for an hour or so after work today. This is a small beach I hunt that is covered with bricks from a court house from 1690 I believe the bricks are holding the points eroding out of the banks from washing out to the river but it can be challenging to find stuff mixed in with thousands of broken bricks .... Especially the jasper points. Here is a pick of the beach I looked on the top layer upon arrival and only found some flakes and a tip so I used a metal rake and pulled the top layer than splashed water onto it from the river. I found a few odd ones today as well this one is all but finished but there's a chunk left still. Makes you wonder if it was used to grip it while working. Was definitely the best day I have had in a while and hopefully will be back soon. I can't really dig past 6" and sift because you hit a thick layer of clay that wouldn't pass through a sifter so I'm gonna stick with this method for a while.
