Maine gouge

Got out yesterday for a bit and found this large rough gouge with a broken bit end.It was channeled on the end.One of my largest wood working tool finds...mjm p

Yes that's a big freaking gouge , rough as it is it is it's nice piece, something many won't recognize from other parts because it's such a selective component in your area, nice find!

Sorry about the pictures I'm using my phone so I'm limited...but I can assure you that after finding numerous rough tools at this site they are the norm...mjm

Really nice finds. Those gouges are unreal
