Havent been out much lately. Got to do a little digging and managed to get some crude/unfinished tools and some broken points.
Believe this is a celt/hoe. Has some grinding on both sides.

This one is a bit bigger with a small ground spot on side and flat on bottom. Was dug right next to the one above.

These 2 look quite crude, but they both look ground flat on bottoms. They were sitting on top of each other as well. Think one is some kind of hand chopper or chipper, not sure what the pointier one is, looks like it was meant to be hafted.

Think this is possibly a net weight? Could be natural, but it was dug and looks like the notches were intentional with some pecking on the top.

Some other artifacts.

I have a site that constantly yields wood working tools Most of the gouges adzes and plummets are pecked and ground...but I find non pecked forms too do to the material used...they do seem to always have that same general shape and look...mjm

If I were in a field I probably would walk over most of these, but digging them up with flint around them is hard to dismiss.

I hear you on the checking everything, I'm finding the same myself. It makes sense, not every artifact was finely pecked, ground and polished. I'm sure there were many factors that played into tools not being beautifully finished. I leave a lot of them out there only because I kayak to this spot and hike a little so I try to keep the rock load under 100lbs :laughing7:
