They are real, just not real OLD Native American. I think that most of them are made in India. A few ears ago, I was seeing them at stores all over.

Some of my inlaws are finding hundreds of these in their yard which is located on high ground over a creek. They started showing up when they cleared ivy. I only have three to look at now. They didn’t look like authentic artifacts to me but it’s strange so many are there.

They are finding rocks like this in the same area. These don’t look “right” to me either.

It looks like someone tossed a rock collection. I knew a guy years ago that spread dozens of these "fake" relics in his field for his grandkids to find. Maybe that I what happened. Great fun for kids of all ages. The rocks look like pyrite and quartz crystal.

I agree modern replicas the flat side and glossy look give it away , also if they’re finding them on top of unturned soil it would indicate somebody recently dropping them there.

I took one glance at them and was suspicious. I needed an opinion other than mine for my wife to believe it. I hate to be the bearer of bad news. I might just wait until someone else tells them. Thanks for the feedback.

Sad that they aren't real but I have to agree with Indian Steve, looks like someone dumped their rock collection out there. I was helping my teen go thru his junk box of little things this weekend and he tried to get me with a fake one, picture of both sides is attached. I remember it being part of a souvenir collection we bought in Boone, NC years ago when he was a little boy. We have a ton of rocks like the pyrite and quartz crystals too.

The second pic looks like red obsidian. Is that material found in that area? If not, it would have been traded from a long ways off, and if you went to that much trouble, the workmanship would have been way more better, just speculating on my part. The pyrite and quartz crystals may be common to that area as they are to many parts of the country. Cool finds, regardless.
