I had to go out near my old house I grew up in this morning and on the way back I figured I would ride by the old house .... as soon as I got to it and saw some of the fields weren’t completely covered in harvested corn stalks I decided on a quick hunt. Luckily I keep some muck boots in my truck because this field was one muddy mess I must have had an extra 10lbs on each boot from mud but it was well worth it. Soon as I started I found this one which is really unique for this field I typically find 95% quartz

I found a bunch of broken pieces I only kept maybe 1/4 of them tossed the rest back.

It started to rain pretty good so I was heading back to the truck when I spotted this really nice point from prob 20 feet away it was hard to miss but what’s really crazy is it was only 6 feet from the road.

Wow you did well for a spur of the moment hunt, several nice bigger ones. Good thinking having your boots with ya. Great color on that first one too.

That's crazy cool to find so many in one area! All are awesome! Do you think the one in the 10th pic is part of a spokeshave?

It does look like one but I’m not positive it’s super thin not sure how well it would have held up

I'd say that piece in pic 10 is a spoke shave.

It may show some workmanship in the concave edge confirming it, or the area could be highly polished and the very edge dull from use.

From the looks of it, I don't know why it wouldn't hold up.

You got some nice points. You should go back when it dries out and have another look.
