Interesting Tool

I did some of trading a while back to get this piece. It’s 4 inches long had been bi-facially sharpened creating a double edged blade that come to a sharp point. The other end has the bit of a Celt, and it’s highly polished.

It shows no signs of ever being halfted.

It came out of central Iowa, Anyone else seen something like this before?

The edges look like it's a knife blade. I've recently come across some interesting illustrations on different hafting methods, so it could be unconventional. Or, it may have been a blade that was never used.

Maybe a multi task tool,a knife for cutting and the end was used for scraping on hides if that base edge is so smooth and polished.
