Only one full point. Rest were broke quartzies. Long day walking with John from here. I'm sure he's gonna post his soon. My back is not happy about 5 hours of muddy field hiking. Nice finds looks like you guys had a good day. The complete one is really different looking where the sides taper in does it feel ground or dull in those spots ?

Not ground. Was thinking maybe an erb. Not sure.

I was going to ask if you thought it was one of the scarce basal notched forms, an Erb or Eshback, as that is what it appears to be to me too. I haven't seen many of them, so I don't know much about them, but I think yours is a cool example, and nice material. Glad you guys got out and had a good hunt.

I have seen a few erbs get pulled in Maryland. I have this one and another broke. Plus a few bases.

That point is really sweet what material do you think it is ? Maybe Rhyolite?

I'm pretty sure it's a jasper type. A little north of this site there's a jasper outcropping. Lots of inclusions in the stone and some of it multicolored.

That was a good hunt I like seeing the material you find in your neck of the woods
