I got out today for a quick walk with my dog. I saw lots of flakes but nothing too distinctive. I grabbed a couple of exhausted cores and 2 little slivers. My feeling is that they are just debitage but could they, on an outside chance be little single use blades? Unfortunately, I dropped one and broke it. I also saw an abalone shell sticking out of the dirt. when I pulled it out it looked clean and bright but instantly started to disintegrate in my hands.. I bet it has been there for a long time! The wildflowers are out in force!
