A nice overcast day with a little drizzle is my favorite sort of day to get out.
Found the red point first, then a few broken, then an ax which was a surprise. Only about 5 to 10% showing of the ax, then a few more broken. I can live with that. a total of 4 hours walking. I am kicking arse in the garmin walk challenge when I remember to wear it and sych.

Found a very nice dimpled on both sides hammer

The final tally for a four hours or so in the field. The large white relic right of the dimpled is a large thumb scraper, with a burin.
Gotta have some brew to ward of the aches so I can do it again tomorrow.

And people make fun of us for living in "fly over country" in the Midwest. The Indians sure liked it, and so do I. Gary

Those are some awesome finds. I’m sure they’ll look real nice in a display case. Congratulations.

Thanks, Fixing to hit it again today.

Here is more pics of the red. Its 2 1/8 inches long
The base is ground, as is the area which looks like a chip in the base, although not ground as heavy. The flash makes the center notch appear slightly askew from the flash on the flake scars.
One barb is broken off, as the other is slightly ground. Visible under magnification, and can be felt.
There is mineralization on both barb areas, leading me to speculate the chipped barb occurred a long time past, not recently when plowing took place.
