I'm not an expert but this looks "too good" and would scare me as well. If the seller has a substantial number of high quality items then I might feel better about it. I've seen many people have very low quality, field grade items and then a big honking beautiful artifact like this to sell.

Never fall for "word of mouth" provenance. Such as "my grandfather" found, or "my uncle's father in law" found.

Then again, I could be wrong and this could be a legit piece worth hundreds of dollars. That leads to the next question for someone who doesn't purchase things like this often: what's it worth? Is this a good deal? Am I overpaying?

Again JKicker has made a point.

I would rather see an authentic broken scraper posted than a G-10 Artifake!

I'm simply an amateur and can't say one way or the other. If real, the artifacts that you've posted are awesome. I especially like this one and the "spud". I'd love to find something like that.

    Kindest regards,

Just curious why you aren't giving any details on anything you have posted. You don't say if you found them, if you bought them, where they are from, who found them if not you, etc.
