Trying to identify a few from a collection I recently bought. This one got me stumped. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1529278035.754127.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1529278051.254835.jpg

Hey Coolthing
I think you are spot on with calling it a Halifax. It will depend upon your area but it matches the description. Welcome to the forum. Did you get much in that collection? Please share if you like.

Nothing special but the price seemed fair. 36$. I'm really interested to start hunting for points and blades but the rules in Wisconsin confuse me and I don't want to do anything against the law. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1529283874.854539.jpg

The point on the bottom row, far right looks like a Dalton with a broken base. Notice the beveling on the blade. The bevel is opposite what you'd see on a Thebes or other early archaic point. Left hand beveling is a Dalton trait. If so that would be an 8500 BP point. Gary
