Pottery or stone?

Going back and forth. Originally thought transite pipe but probably not. The patina over the broke edge and and the shiny specks make me think stone but don’t know enough. Really hope it’s pottery because I’ve never found any.

Thanks was hoping. Not familiar with that stone though, and not really thinking modern trash but who knows.

I wouldn’t doubt your opinion. It just seemed a little strange when I looked close, not something I’ve seen before.
