This is what I find when I look for real artifacts around here.

Anyone able to place a value on this relic?

Reason I'm asking is I've got a lot of pieces just like this around my drive & planters, I'd say at least a couple pickup trucks worth. Never thought I'd be set for life! On a serious note, I can take you to strips a mile or two long of the same exact material. I'd be willing to show you a place where the Indians actively worked quartz deposits verified by period maps & archaeologists. Sadly the archies spirited away anything worthwhile. nothing but a few chips & flakes. and the difference in the material is very different.

I don’t doubt you, I had noticed that piece was a tougher grade of quartz the I usually see, but found it at a different site.

Slim chance it could have been a core but I wouldn’t call it a finished knife I have some larger quartz knives I have found and they are very well made and shaped and easy to ID ... can post some pics if you’d like
