Hi. I found these while rock hunting. I assume the one is a tool. But from what i have seen tools are more crudely made than this. all 4 sides have very straight sides. when i take a metal ruler along the sides, there is very little deviation of the rock beneath it. i can not see any light between the rock and the edge of the ruler. the ends look to be percussion marks.what i will call the bottom has the round circles, that almost look like the 5 on a dice. on that same side on the left is another very straight line, where the rock angles up. that angle is also extremely straight and very flat.

all the very flat and straight sides and edges have me guessing at what it could be. it looks to be a hammer head. but it seems to be to precise to me, as i thought hammer stones to be more crude?

I was rock hunting for carnelian agates north of Goldendale, Wa. The Rocks in this area tend to be deposited from glaciers and tend to be jasper and quartzite. And also tend to be flattish and rounded.

which brings me to the second rock. Nature does some wonderful things. but this is too rounded. it is an agate egg. now natives wouldn't have made something that wasn't useful would they? i just cant believe that its natural.

1st - I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard RevWrathline! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forum: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country). You might also consider adding your state (or country) to your displayed profile (SETTINGS -> EDIT PROFILE) - members may have more success helping you (your location may help, etc.)...

2nd - I took the liberty of downloading your images for TN members that hate to hit unknown links.
