Do you fine folks think this has been worked? If so, is it complete or a work in progress? Intended purpose? Found last year in Hunt County, Texas. I have other pics, but still trying to locate them.Thanks for lookin'. 448.JPG

Looks promising. FYI, when posting pictures of suspected artifacts, it always helps to post pictures of all sides, top, bottom and the edges.

Especially if the opposite edge (not shown but important) is blunt/rounded & looks like it's been struck, I'd say you found a piece esquilles (French term), or hammered wedge used for splitting wood, bone, &c.

Key to ID: note the way the edge flakes on the bit end in steps instead of feathering out.

Thanks for all the responses. I now understand how the business end can be so beautiful, then just go to a more natural appearance.... Uniface, I'll take a closer look at the blunt end. Thanks for the tip (no pun)....Kansa54, I had to google Kerrville knife. This piece makes more sense to me now. Thanks everyone. Y'all are awesome!
