Beauties! I want a point so badly.... Last pic, is that a spear tip or a huge point?

I seriously day dream about how cool it must have been to hunt that river back in the day before it became popular for hunting. As evidenced by your finds there are still some spectacular finds to be made, but it had to be amazing back in the day.

Those are some nice relics. A good variation of cultures there.

What is the bannerstone material? Was this a water find also?

I believe the material is mudstone and I found it on a gravel shoal when the water was down very low.

So awesome.....

I recall some 10 -15 years ago the Atlanta New had a story on the "illegal " or legal battle or something similar , I remember them showing guy's in snorkel looking for stuff , I wanted to go walk the banks right then (even swim) ; I think of that story whenever I cross the River on occasion.

There are places on the Flint River that your not allowed by the state to hunt for artifacts and the Game Warden will cite you if they catch you. That portion begins south of the Broad Street bridge in Albany Georgia. The City of Albany is well known for dumping raw sewage into the river so, I'm not going there anyway. On Non-Navigable water you are allowed to hunt with the property owners permission.
