Found this Saturday... Been artifact hunting my whole life & this is a first... I believe it's an Effigy (carried for good luck, for play or used for jewelry or ceremonial purposes) carved out of what I believe to be the stone Jet. It was used for its carvability and light weight feature. Definitely not a native stone to KS where it was found. Definitely has distinctive features that can only be man made..

What are your thoughts??

Thanks in advance for your input! 20190317_200003.jpg 20190317_200033.jpg

We see a lot of rocks on here......so this is not a isolated incident by itself. Lots of educated people on here for artifacts, so you won't be fooled.

Probably natural. Material looks a lot like mining slag they broke up and used for ballast on railroad beds around here.
