I got out yesterday during work for a few hours. Had to wait on some ice to melt before we could do our work so I figured why not.

Went back out to my usual two spots to find that a lot more ground was exposed.....and it didn't disappoint!

The one Paleo base is most likely a Goshen. I was thinking Midland at first but it's a little big for a Midland and the flaking isn't quite Midland.

The white patinated piece is a Folsom channel flake from the Folsom site I've been hitting.

Everything is made from Knife River Flint. 20190319_154842.jpeg 20190320_061330.jpeg 20190319_154908.jpeg 20190319_154928.jpeg 20190319_154949.jpeg 20190319_155009.jpeg 20190319_155027.jpeg 20190319_155046.jpeg 20190319_155103.jpeg 20190319_155128.jpeg

Absolutely awesome!
Thanks Josh! The first full point I found was that late-Archaic side notched point with the needle tip. After I found that I figured if I didn't find anything else that would be fine. We went back to where we were hunting before I found that point to see if there was anything else since it was on the way back to my truck. Immediately I found the small, used up Lookingbill point with the nice basal thinning flakes. I went back to close to the spot where I had found a Folsom tip a week ago and I came across that Goshen base....turned out really good!
If I get done with my Bobcat work I have to do today early enough I'm going to check out two more spots on the way home that I wanted to check yesterday. I've not hunted these two spots in a long time but there may be something there if I'm lucky.

Man I need some more material like that here. We have the root beer Edwards Plateau but those finds are far and few in between. Nice finds!

Nice finds! What material is that?
Thanks Tony! It's all Knife River Flint which is found south of where I'm hunting about 40 miles. About 98% of the artifacts a person finds up here are made from it.....stuff is everywhere!
