I just put together this case of celts. All were personal finds except the two in the middle. Most of the ones that I found were found in Virginia & North Carolina except the one on the bottom right. It was found in Southwest Georgia.

That is quite a nice collection of Celts. I have not found any in my area.

Wired to a board just like the old farmers around here would mount their arrowheads. I used to see those boards occasionally at sales but haven't seen one in quite a while. I like them so much I made one myself with modern points and wood from an old barn. Gary

Are you calling me an old farmer? Nicest thing anybody has said about me in a while. I am debating how to mount several points in display cases to hang on the wall. Most of my points are in riker cases and cigar boxes. There is well over 1,000 whole points. I have one case that i did 30 years ago where i wired the points in place {what a pain} I hate the thought of using glue but am leaning towards it now. Would you use Elmers or model glue?

I don’t recall seeing many if any celts from out west that far. Someone commented once here on this forum that they are rare in my area, and I am much east of you. One thing for sure, Ya Gotta be near where there was trees.
Here are some celts and portions of them that I have found.

Here's the frame I made from barn wood. I made all the points except the Dalton at top. A friend made that one. Gary
