The NA artifacts forum could use another sub-forum with a topic centered around things to watch out (authentic vs. modern) for when examining artifacts--esp. since people can be easily deceived if they don't know what to watch for anyways. Those sticky threads at the top of the NA forum are valuable because they are educational, and I think they would fit like a glove, additionally, in such a sub-forum where posts like this one can be appreciated for their educational value instead of being lost in the pages of this forum as many, many have before. The entire NA forum has something to gain from such a sub-forum.

MAMucker,

Thanks for the insight! I am no expert and truly appreciate everyone's input.... It has been a good learning experience for myself. if i am ever lucky enough to find something like this i will now know what the red flags might be. I myself have acquired a collection of items from a site i found this summer and I'm really looking forward to everyone's feedback. There are many different styles and literally thousands of flakes all in a 30x30 area that some folks scraped off in their backyard along the creek for a better view.

As far as replicating the drilling process used by the Abo's this will do the trick...
