Missouri. I’ve found one other with similar material but not exactly the same. Thanks for the help!

Those large flake scars look odd for a point that size and in pic1, I believe I see a flat, narrow place dead center. Did you find this piece?

The red one I found yeah. The 2 I just posted I purchased in a lot. Both are supposed to be from Missouri

OK thanks. I would also expect to see some pressure flaked edges on the red one. It has the silhouette of a Palmer but I'm not sure what to make of it. Also, I believe I see crushing evidence in Pic2.

Define crushing. I’m not sure what that means

Here’s that other one that’s sorta kinda the same color/material. Not really though now that I have the two in front of me. Same site though

The notches and one edge looks crushed.

Well friend, I don't doubt anything you said about it but if I'm correct, all those things I pointed out add up to a modern day reproduction. Also, the material looks like bloodstone jasper which is native to India. Those folks turn out thousands of them made of that material every day and they show up for sale at tourist shops among other places. There are more knowledgeable folks here than me so lets see what some of the others have say about it.

Well I’ve seen other threads on here where people claimed to have found points and everyone claims that they are jasper from India. I’m not arguing that it’s not that, but I pulled it from the dirt. I don’t think it’s jasper though. I’ve seen those fakes from India and this def isn’t that material. Also, it’s not the same style that the fakes are made. Anyone ever seen a repro in this style?
