    came from a collection of broken pieces, I donít know a quick knife/scraper? Then why such s deliberate square bit.

    Very interesting I didnít think it was any sort of ďstyleĒ still I guess two doesnít make a trend, I thought maybe heavily resharpened but it donít think itís knapped all the way across the surface, Iíll double check that later when Iím home

    I'm gonna go out on a limb here OTB but could that be what's left of a Bell, Calf Creek or Andice--obviously missing the long droopy ears? Just a shot.

    I would suggest that it was halfted to a handle and utilized as a specialized tool such as a knife. Maybe used to get into a tight spot.

    Later skinning knives of steel ,though much longer ;were upswept to avoid holing hides.
    On smaller mammals , that blade might have sufficed quite well. (?)

    Or just an ergonomic approach to splitting feathers with a closed handed drag or something.

    A neat piece regardless.
