I took off after half a day at work and hit the field for two hours. The field was very soupy and I was slip sliding all over the place.

The first point I found was my best.

The knife is 3 5/8 inches long by 1 7/16 wide at the base made from jeffersonville chert I believe. There is no grinding evident on the base or sides of the blade.

There is a slight bevel started on the resharpened side of the blade - that which is curved.

I found a total 10 relics. One was a hafted scraper, one an awl like point. 5 broken points. A large base type of relic.

I found black coshocton flint, flintridge white and pink colors, larual flint and jeffersonville. In the past I have found a lot of jeffersonville on the site.

It was a fun few hours. I am getting pretty old for this and had a body buzz going on the rest of the evening. Two hours and I was whipped. In the 70's through the late 80's I used to hunt from sun up to sun down with rest when driving to other fields. Now 2 hours and I am hurting for a few days.

But at least I am still walking.

Nice variety of materials. I really like that lancolet shaped point 2nd from the left on the top row. Looks like it has some cortex left on the base. I hope you keep walkin those fields for a long time.

Nice finds and pics , that first knife is killer, I like the variety of different materials and colors you find. Walking thru thick mud will wear anybody out atleast it was well worth it.

Great job getting ā€˜0n the boardā€™ for 2020.
Can you ID the small Lanceolate. It looks like itā€™s ā€˜all thereā€™.
Iā€™d be interested in seeing the other side if possible.
