My hunting days are about done, but I was blessed to have got to walk fields when farming was done the old way. Most I found, some where bought from friends and neighbors. Hope you enjoy. 100_1393 (800x600).jpg 100_1393 (800x600).jpg

Sorry about the double, I have no idea why that happened.

thats a nice group.

I can relate about the hunting days about done. I can walk for a few hours now and it takes me a few days to get back to 'normal', whatever that is.

Used to walk sunup to sundown in the 70s and 80's. Seems a long time back now.

I'm running out places they can place stints, last time they gave me 3 to 10 years, so every day above ground is a good day.

Sounds like you have accomplished much and been down many a trail. Nice celts! Hope the trail in front of you is long as well.
Thanks for sharing an amazing collection.

Wow, those are great. 33 years of looking and I'm still chasing my first good celt.

I think that the slate celts/adz is scarcer to find these days, especially complete as the slate has an easier tendency to split, compared to a hard stone like granite. Most I slate axes, celts or adz's I have found show these types of cleaving.
