OMG! I never knew what to call these points! My brother has my collection but I will post a few that we found around a crystal quartz lithic station in NE Ga.
Amazing finds they were very good at making those. Ive always wanted to make a display case of points. There are old Indian trails here in Michigan havent found even one I may have just not seen them but those wow easy to tell those are really cool.. Thanks for sharing them soon I hope Ill be posting one or more lol.............Tommy
I may have a few. It's hard for me to differentiate those from Palmers in some cases. They do occur in my area and are the same age as Palmers (9,500-,8,500 YBP). I'll try and get a pic up here of the ones I have later.
OK, one pic with the flash on and the other with it off. Let me know which one(s), if any, you think may be Bolens.
Cool frame Tdog, I would say on the left side 2nd row on down to the middle piece and the one next to it on the right side are bolens and the 4th row 4th point counting from the left side is also a bolen I have a few quartz bolens but not many. The serrated ones are cool, rarer than the others. In my profile I have a picture of a serrated bolen I found in Florida. Bolens, Thebes, Palmers, Big Sandy's and Taylor's I think are fairly similar.
