    Bolen Bevel points

Here are a few Bolen Bevel points found by me in South Georgia and Alabama. My most common point found. Feel free to share any Bolens here.

You are a lucky man for them to be common for you. Old points.

I have some I've bought over the years, but never found one.

OMG! I never knew what to call these points! My brother has my collection but I will post a few that we found around a crystal quartz lithic station in NE Ga.

I think the Bolen is somehow related to the Midwestern Thebes points. Well made early archaic points. Nice finds there antmike. Gary

Nice finds! The expanded (E-notch) is a great Bolen, bevels & concave base with the nice notch. I have some from the Tallahassee area.

I may have a few. It's hard for me to differentiate those from Palmers in some cases. They do occur in my area and are the same age as Palmers (9,500-,8,500 YBP). I'll try and get a pic up here of the ones I have later.

OK, one pic with the flash on and the other with it off. Let me know which one(s), if any, you think may be Bolens.

Cool frame Tdog, I would say on the left side 2nd row on down to the middle piece and the one next to it on the right side are bolens and the 4th row 4th point counting from the left side is also a bolen I have a few quartz bolens but not many. The serrated ones are cool, rarer than the others. In my profile I have a picture of a serrated bolen I found in Florida. Bolens, Thebes, Palmers, Big Sandy's and Taylor's I think are fairly similar.

I noticed you're from East Central Alabama Tdog so all the above (except the Thebes), as far as I know should be in your area as well.
