Pointy little thing

Found this awl/perforator early May. First pics show how it rose up with the Alkali "foam" along with a chip or two. Usually just covers everything.Happens after a good rain sometimes.
You can see how fine the tip is by comparing it to lines on your finger. Pretty fragile.
Last pic shows some pit house sites,they are the round green spots.

That is a beauty! The ground I hunt gets that way in the winter. It takes a good spring rain to melt it back down. Hard to hunt but it sure help move flint up to the surface.

Wow, that does almost redefine the term Needle Tip. Cool little thing, I wonder what they would have used it for? (Anything hard would have snapped that tip I'd imagine.)

I’d probably try to use it to remove slivers and pop ingrown hairs.

Thanks everybody for comments. Gotta agree with what everyone has said. I've read different accounts where these were all mentioned. Nice sharp pointy thing could have a lot of uses but couldn't stand up to much stress at all.
I think this is the "pointiest" perforator I have though I do have another one that is close,will have to get pics.

Thanks Tdog. This one never got used I suppose and somehow made it through without getting dinged. A nice sharp bone awl would do the trick too I think and be a whole lot more durable.
