Any ideas on what this is???

My brother found this near Princeton Mo and he noticed the lizard when washing it off. Anyone have any idea what this is? He has found a lot of arrowheads and spearheads in this area, so possibly American Indian related? View attachment 1878685

Brenda - welcome to the site and thanks for posting this. I am also in Missouri. I have no idea what that is but would love to see more pictures, any information on where (not specifically location) and how it was found. Definitely an interesting and unique piece.

Looks like a lizard stone...lizard is in relief by means of pecking around it with a hammer stone.

we can't judge such a find over the internet... too much chance for fraud and pix cannot resolve that. this item should be looked at in person by those with knowledge and background. very cool stone and we all want to know more about it.
