Digging through childhood finds

I was that kid, the one who would find a hammock and declare it a dinosaur tooth or a crinoid fossil and call it a bead
So of course I picked this up at the river one day
Because of my predisposition of 'it's an artefact!!'
I've only ever considered it a cool rock, that looks like an artifact

Of course collecting and keeping interesting rocks has a downside and that is members of your family asking you to part with some, I'm arguing this one needs to stay inside on a shelf what do you all think?

I would keep it. When I am gone they can dump it all back in the river if they like. You have not lived if you do not have a few rocks and such laying around!
