Nice find and material. Where in the panhandle? I was born in Ft. Walton Beach. It could be a worked out worn down Marion, Newnan, or similar stemmed point. Cypress Creek came to mind when I first saw it too. Panhandle stuff can come from all over, Ala. Ga. & Florida. Welcome & thanks for sharing.

I found it in the Panacea area. Any idea how old this could be?

It’s a Putnam.... 46C3A36A-82F3-4CD3-B555-8DEA62E5D6D3.jpg 5924424F-116D-4261-9141-84B4FD0A3816.png

The Putnam has a more narrow elongated tang, whereas the Marion’s is more squarish...Can’t always go by the points in projectile points ,com...many belong in other categories...it can be a subtle difference..Doesn’t matter, they’re all Archaic stemmed...

Yeah the point is a little worn out pretty from use and that also makes typing difficult. Putnam is a good call. I use to fish the beach at Panacea when I lived in Tallahassee. Pretty area. Lots of artifacts in that part of Florida.
